PTO Board Members
Katy Mahan
President
Katy Mahan and her family moved to Hood River 9 years ago and love the small town community. She has a 13 year old son at HRMS and a 10 year old daughter in 4th grade at May Street. They are a big baseball family and love traveling for tournaments. She loves being outdoors/adventuring, live music, cooking and gardening. Katy loves helping and being part of May Street PTO.
Sarah Roth
Vice President
Sarah Roth was born and raised in Corbett, is a registered nurse, business owner and mom to two May St students. She enjoys spending time in her garden, recreating in Hood River and traveling.
Meg Rummel
Secretary
Meg Rummel is a lifelong resident of Hood River. She comes from an orchardist family in Pine Grove and works as an RN for Providence Occupational Medicine. She has a Kindergartner and a 2nd Grader at May Street. If Meg can become PTO Secretary, anyone can serve on the board!
Lisa Pacheco
Member at large
Lisa Pacheco was born and raised in the gorge, she is a business owner, wife and mother to 2 children Sophia (12) and Izzy (7). She enjoys time spent with her family and friends along with travel and photography. Lisa is excited to be part of May Street PTO.
Calli Zuercher
Member-at-Large
Calli Zuercher was born and raised in Hood River. Calli has two children that attend May Street (first and fourth grade), as did she during her own elementary school years. She taught kindergarten for sixteen years at May Street. She is currently on a one year leave to spend time with her family. She enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening and spending time with loved ones. She is excited to be part of the PTO.
Debbie Dennis
Member-at-Large
Debbie Dennis moved to Hood River in 2010 and is a local business owner of Riverhood Rentals and mother of two May St students (2nd and 4th grade). She enjoys time with her family and friends, scheming new business ideas and spending time recreating outdoors in our Gorge backyard.
Victoria Bustos
Member-at-Large
Victoria Bustos was born and raised in Hood River and attended May Street as a child. She moved to Seattle out of high school but recently moved back to HR in 2023. She has 3 daughters- Trinity, Harper & Avery. Her two youngest attend May Street and she is a SPED Instructional Aide at May Street.

Oversees the financials of PTO fundraising activities and events.
